If you’ve been waiting for the One UI 8 beta to hit your Galaxy S24, we have some mixed news. Samsung has indeed pushed out a new software update for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra — but it’s not the Android 16-based beta build just yet.
Instead, the latest release is all about security. The update brings the August 2025 security patch, fixing several vulnerabilities in both Android and Samsung’s own software. While it’s not the feature-packed upgrade many were hoping for, it’s still an important release — and likely the last update before the One UI 8 beta lands.

The new firmware is already live in India and South Korea, with more regions expected to follow in the coming days. In India, the update weighs in at 478.65MB and carries the build number S92xBXXS4BYH1. In Korea, it’s a slightly smaller 315.15MB with build version S92xNKSS9BYG8.
If you’re using a Galaxy S24 model, you can grab the update by heading to Settings > Software update and tapping the Download and install option.
Given Samsung’s recent beta announcements, the next update for the Galaxy S24 series could finally be the much-anticipated One UI 8 beta. So, if you’re eager to try Android 16 early, it might be worth keeping a close eye on Samsung Members over the next few days.
