Samsung’s August 2025 security update is rolling out to these devices

Samsung continues to lead the way with timely software updates, and the August 2025 security patch is already making its way to a growing list of Galaxy phones and tablets. While these patches don’t bring new features or interface changes, they play a crucial role in protecting your device from the latest vulnerabilities and exploits.

As with every monthly rollout, the update is being pushed out in phases. So, if you haven’t received it yet, don’t worry—it may take a few days or even weeks to reach your region.

Note that the update is rolled out in batches. So, it may take a few days to reach your device.

If your device is on the list, you can check for the update manually by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. If it’s not yet available, check again in a few days.

What’s inside the August 2025 security patch?

The August 2025 security patch includes important fixes from both Google and Samsung. Google has addressed one critical vulnerability and over two dozen high-severity flaws that impact Android broadly, including Samsung devices. These fixes patch holes that could otherwise be exploited by hackers to gain unauthorized access or disrupt device functionality.

In addition, Samsung has patched 18 security vulnerabilities specific to its software. These included issues that could potentially let attackers access your personal data, delete files, or misuse certain system functions. Fortunately, Samsung says these issues were disclosed privately and have not been exploited in the wild—so users can breathe easy knowing their devices are being proactively protected.
