
Samsung continues its monthly update streak, and this time, it’s the Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy S24 FE, and Galaxy A55 that are getting the latest August 2025 security patch. While the spotlight is currently on the One UI 8 beta rollout, the company is also keeping eligible devices secure and up to date with regular patches.
August 2025 security update now rolling out to Galaxy S23 FE, S24 FE, and A55
The August update is currently rolling out in Europe, and it’s only a matter of time before it expands to other regions. Although these phones haven’t joined the One UI 8 beta program yet, this update based on Android 15 and One UI 7 prepares them for what’s coming next.
Samsung has already confirmed that these models will be eligible for Android 16-based One UI 8, with the stable rollout expected to begin in September. This security update lays the groundwork by fixing known issues and enhancing overall system stability and reliability.

The update weighs in at around 350MB and brings the usual behind-the-scenes improvements without adding new features.

How to check for the update?
If you haven’t received the update notification yet, you can check manually:
- Open the Settings app.
- Go to Software update.
- Tap Download and install.
If the update is available, simply follow the on-screen instructions to install it. Make sure your phone has enough battery and storage space for a smooth installation process.
What about the stable One UI 8 update?
Samsung has announced that the One UI 8 stable update will start rolling out in September 2025, beginning with the Galaxy S25 series. Devices like the S23 FE, S24 FE, and A55 are expected to get the update in the weeks that follow.
