Second One UI 8 beta arrives for Galaxy A36

Samsung is moving fast with its One UI 8 beta rollout. Just a week after opening the Android 16-based beta program for the Galaxy A36, the company is now rolling out the second beta update, getting a step closer to the stable release.

The latest release, One UI 8 Beta 2, is now rolling out to Galaxy A36 users in India. It comes with firmware version A366EXXU4ZYI7, weighs in at around 440MB, and brings a handful of much-needed bug fixes. While it’s not a feature-packed update, it addresses some annoying issues that beta testers have been reporting.

One of the biggest improvements comes to the camera. The Portrait mode, which had been causing unexpected crashes, now works more reliably. Samsung has also resolved an ANR issue with the Camera app, likely related to Camera Assistant features that handle video recording and storage.

Another frustrating problem—random reboots when changing the system time manually—has been patched, so users won’t have to worry about sudden shutdowns. Additionally, the update fixes an AUT issue tied to Samsung’s system services, ensuring smoother background operations.

The One UI 8 beta program is still in its early stages for the Galaxy A36, but with each new release, Samsung is ironing out critical bugs and getting closer to the stable Android 16 update.
