Galaxy A36 gets stable One UI 8 update in more regions

Samsung is speeding up its software rollout. After debuting the stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy A36 in South Korea last week, the company has now expanded availability to more regions, starting with Europe and Turkey. This means Galaxy A36 owners outside Samsung’s home market are finally getting a taste of Android 16.

The update, as spotted by Tarun Vats, for the Galaxy A36 in these new markets comes with firmware version A366BXXU4BYI7 and weighs a little over 2.3GB. It’s a major release that not only delivers Android 16 but also refines Samsung’s software experience with a range of meaningful upgrades.

If you’re in Europe or Turkey and own a Galaxy A36, you can check for the update by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the download completes, simply confirm installation and your device will restart with the new firmware.

One UI 8 is designed to breathe new life into mid-range phones like the A36. The interface has been polished for smoother navigation, while apps and menus now feel more consistent across the system. Samsung has added enhancements in key areas such as accessibility, communication, multitasking, imaging, and health tracking. Privacy and security have also been strengthened, alongside better productivity and improved tools for sharing files.

This release is another reminder of how Samsung has stepped up its update game in recent years. With Europe and Turkey now included in the rollout, it won’t be long before more regions join the list. Users in Asia, the Middle East, and other markets should keep an eye out for the update notification in the coming days.
