One UI 8 update lands on Galaxy Tab S10 FE, Tab S9 series

Just a few days ago, the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup picked up the Android 16–based update, and now it’s the turn of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE models. On top of that, the Galaxy Tab S9 series is also getting in on the action, making it a busy week for Galaxy tablet owners.

The update is currently live in South Korea, with firmware version BYI7 for the Galaxy Tab S10 and Tab S10 FE models, while the Tab S9, Tab S9+, and Tab S9 Ultra are getting it under build DYI7. As always, the rollout will expand to other regions in the coming days, so don’t worry if you don’t see it right away on your device.

If you own one of these tablets, you can check for the update by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The update might not appear immediately since Samsung typically rolls out updates in phases, but it should pop up soon.

As for what’s new, One UI 8 builds on Android 16 with a refreshed UI, better multitasking tools, improved system apps, and extra polish across productivity and privacy features. It’s not the same dramatic leap that One UI 7 brought, but it still delivers meaningful upgrades that make large-screen Galaxy devices even more useful.
