Samsung’s One UI 8 (Android 16) rollout continues at full speed, with yet another batch of Galaxy M-series phones joining the list of devices receiving the stable update. The company has now released the update for the Galaxy M56, Galaxy M53, Galaxy M35, Galaxy M33, and Galaxy M15 across multiple markets.

In India, the Galaxy M56 is getting the One UI 8 update with firmware version M566BXXU3BYI6, while the Galaxy M35 has joined the rollout with version M356BXXU5CYI8. Over in South Korea, several other M-series models have started receiving the update — the Galaxy M53 (sold locally as Galaxy Quantum 3) with version GYI4, the Galaxy M33 (known as Galaxy Jump 2) with version M336KKSUBGYI4, and the Galaxy M15 5G (marketed as Galaxy Wide 7) with version CYI6.
- Galaxy M56 (India): BYI6

The update packages vary slightly by device but generally measure around 2.5GB to 3GB in size. To download it, head over to Settings > Software update > Download and install on your device. Since this is a staged rollout, it may take a few days before it becomes available to everyone.
What’s new in One UI 8?
The One UI 8 update, based on Android 16, brings a host of upgrades that enhance both performance and usability. Users can expect smoother animations, redesigned Samsung apps, and improved privacy controls. Key apps like Quick Share, Samsung Internet, Calendar, and My Files have been refreshed with a more intuitive layout, while features like Now Brief, AI Photo Editor, and Audio Eraser introduce a taste of Samsung’s Galaxy AI capabilities to more mid-range devices.
Samsung’s rollout pace continues to impress
With these new rollouts, Samsung is further proving its commitment to delivering timely updates — even to its mid-range and budget-friendly models. We weren’t expecting the One UI 8 update to arrive this early to Galaxy M-series phones, but the update is already live.
At this rate, the majority of eligible Galaxy phones and tablets should complete their One UI 8 rollout by the end of October, marking one of Samsung’s fastest and most efficient software upgrade cycles yet.
