OnePlus has officially launched OxygenOS 16, its next big software update based on Android 16 — and this one’s a major leap forward. The company is doubling down on AI, adding a bunch of smarter, faster, and more personal features that make your phone feel more alive than ever.
OxygenOS 16 also brings deeper lock screen customization options, smoother animations powered by the new OnePlus Flow Motion Engine, and improved performance across the board. There’s also a clever new addition called Plus Mind, which helps organize your on-screen content into a single, easy-to-access space known as Mind Space.
Now that OxygenOS 16 is official, the big question is — when will it reach your OnePlus device? Thankfully, OnePlus has shared the full rollout schedule, and here’s what it looks like.
OxygenOS 16 rollout timeline
The update rollout will start next month, beginning with the company’s latest flagships and gradually expanding to older and mid-range devices over the next few months.

To check manually, just head over to Settings > System & update > Software update, and tap on Check for updates.
Didn’t see your device on the list?
If your phone isn’t included, it’s likely that it has already received the promised number of Android version upgrades under OnePlus’ update policy. But if you’re planning to upgrade soon, OnePlus now offers several phones that guarantee four years of Android OS upgrades.
