Samsung has released the second One UI 8.5 beta update for the Galaxy S25 series nearly two weeks after its initial launch. The beta is now available in India and Poland, in addition to the original markets of the US, the UK, Germany, and South Korea.
The new beta build, bearing firmware version ZYLH or ZYLF depending on the region, is now rolling out to the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. For users in India and Poland, this is their first access to the beta, and the update package is slightly larger to include all the features from the initial beta build.

If you’re rocking a Galaxy S25 series phone and live in India or Poland, you must register for the beta program first before you can access the latest features (see the complete steps here). If your Galaxy phone is already running the first beta, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to install the new beta update.
This release focuses primarily on enhancing stability and squashing bugs reported during the first beta phase. Here’s the complete changelog:
- Improved the issue of quick panel settings initializing intermittently when booting.
- Improved errors such as quick panel menu screen icon spacing and location.
- Improved the issue of photos organized into gallery group folders being moved to the first album page.
- Improved the stuttering issue when pressing the “More View” menu during a call.
- Improved the intermittent rebooting issue.
- Improved the issue where the volume up button does not work under certain conditions.
- Improved the issue of sound generation in the device when making a call with a Bluetooth car kit connection under certain conditions.
- Improved issues where multiple third-party apps are forcibly terminated while in use.
- Stabilized software through multiple app updates, such as the camera.
As promised, Samsung has also reintroduced the Dual Recording and Single Take camera modes with this update. These popular features, which were temporarily removed in the first beta, have been integrated back into the Camera Assistant.
Samsung is expected to release several more beta versions for the Galaxy S25 lineup before the stable rollout. The final version of One UI 8.5 will arrive in the first half of 2026, debuting on the Galaxy S26 series before expanding to older eligible devices. It is currently unclear if Samsung will open the beta program to models beyond the Galaxy S25 series.
