Samsung’s latest security rollout is now picking up pace. After pushing the January 2026 patch to the Galaxy S25 series and recent foldables, the company has now started delivering the update to the Galaxy S24 series (including S24 FE).
The update is currently live in South Korea with firmware version CZA1. The file size is just over 400MB for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, though the update size may vary slightly depending on the region and model. Users in other markets should expect to see the update arrive over the coming days.

This security release tackles more than 50 vulnerabilities affecting both Android and Samsung’s software components. The fixes aim to protect devices from potential threats and ensure system stability remains intact.
Unlike feature-packed software upgrades, this release doesn’t bring any new functionality or visual changes. Still, Galaxy S24 owners should install it as soon as it becomes available to keep their devices protected against known vulnerabilities.
To check for the update, navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the download completes, tap Install now, and the device will restart after a few minutes to finish the installation.
Beyond these monthly patches, Samsung is also laying the groundwork for One UI 8.5, its next major software release. The Android 16-based update will arrive first on the Galaxy S26 series, then gradually expand to existing models.
