Samsung Galaxy S24 series

Samsung’s rollout of the January 2026 security patch is gaining momentum, now reaching Galaxy S24 series users beyond its initial release in South Korea. The update is now live in key markets including India and Europe, bringing enhanced security and stability to the 2024 flagship lineup.

The update is available for the entire series, with identifiable firmware versions for each model. The standard Galaxy S24 is receiving build S921BXXS4CZA1, the Galaxy S24 Plus is getting S926BXXS4CZA1, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra is being updated with S928BXXS4CZA1.

The January 2026 security patch addresses a total of 55 vulnerabilities. Samsung’s bulletin details that the fixes include patches from Google, one critical and 20 high-risk items, alongside 30 additional fixes developed specifically for Galaxy devices.

Galaxy S24 users in the newly included regions can manually check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. As with any OTA update, it is recommended to connect to a Wi-Fi network and ensure your device has sufficient battery life before proceeding with the installation.

This update is part of a broader security rollout that has already included the Galaxy S25 series and latest foldables like the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7. As Samsung continues to push the January patch to more devices, Galaxy S24 owners can also look forward to the upcoming One UI 8.5 update. While the beta program is currently limited to newer devices, the stable version of One UI 8.5 is expected to arrive on the Galaxy S24 series later this year, bringing a host of new features and a refreshed interface.
