The One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series just got its seventh update, and there’s a good chance it’s the final one before the stable release ships.
Beta 7 carries the firmware build version ZZC7 and is roughly 1GB in size, though the exact download will vary by model and region. It’s already live in India, South Korea, and a handful of other markets, with the US rollout expected to follow shortly. On the security side, it still bundles the February 2026 patch rather than March, but that’s not entirely surprising for a beta build.

The changelog for this update is fairly substantial. Samsung lists ten bug fixes in total, covering a wide range of issues that beta testers had flagged. Here’s the full list:
- Fixes an issue where a voice call unexpectedly switches to a video call
- Fixes an issue where the GMS app color palette isn’t applied in Work Profile or Secure Folder
- Improves the visibility of the Gmail search input field in dark mode
- Fixes a forced shutdown when creating a new project in the Gallery app
- Fixes an issue where photos from Private Albums fail to export in the Gallery app
- Fixes an issue where a toast notification doesn’t appear during overheating while using DeX
- Fixes an issue when adding cities in the Weather widget and improves a Wi-Fi recovery problem during MBSSID Access Point and roaming scans
- Fixes stuttering and freezing when entering the unread message inbox in Samsung Messages
- Fixes an issue where notifications aren’t displayed under certain conditions
Is the One UI 8.5 stable update close?
It’s looking that way. Samsung has already been spotted testing a stable One UI 8.5 build for the Galaxy S25 lineup, and that build includes the March 2026 security patch. That’s a notable jump from what’s in Beta 7, suggesting the stable release is being prepared separately and could be close to ready. If Samsung follows past patterns, the rollout could begin by late March.
As for whether Beta 7 is truly the last one, nothing is confirmed yet. But with the stable build already in testing and this beta focused entirely on polish rather than new features, it would make sense for Samsung to wrap things up here.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 are also expected to enter the beta program soon, so the One UI 8.5 rollout is about to get a lot broader. We’ll keep you updated as things develop.
