Samsung kicks off One UI 8.5 Beta for Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra

Galaxy Tab S11 series

Samsung’s One UI 8.5 beta rollout just got a little wider. The Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra are the latest devices to enter the beta program, joining the Galaxy S24 series, S25 FE, and S24 FE, which were already part of the testing phase.

The stable One UI 8.5 made its debut earlier this month with the Galaxy S26 series. The update brings a refreshed set of AI features, visual changes across the interface, and improved multitasking and productivity tools. The beta program gives Tab S11 owners an early look at all of this before the stable build arrives.

To enroll, you’ll need the Samsung Members app with your Samsung Account signed in. Once inside the app, look for the beta banner, agree to the terms, and tap Enroll. It’s pretty straightforward, but keep in mind the beta is only available in six countries: Germany, India, Poland, South Korea, the UK, and the US. If you’re outside those regions, you’ll have to wait for the stable One UI 8.5 rollout.

With the Tab S11 series now in the program, Samsung’s next move is expected to be the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Once those foldables are added, the beta expansion should wrap up entirely. Devices not included in the beta program will likely skip it altogether and go straight to the stable update when it’s ready. You can check whether your device is on the list of One UI 8.5 eligible devices to get a sense of the broader rollout timeline.
