Samsung has started pushing the second One UI 8.5 beta to the Galaxy S24 series, which brings a number of fixes alongside support for AirDrop connectivity with Apple devices and new camera filters.
The rollout is currently live in India and South Korea. The Indian variant carries firmware version S92xBXXU5ZZD5 and comes in at around 897MB, according to Tarun Vats. If you’re in one of these regions and already enrolled in the beta program, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install to grab it.

In terms of what’s actually changing, Beta 2 for the S24 series mirrors the same nine fixes and improvements that One UI 8.5 Beta 9 brought to Galaxy S25 users. That includes AirDrop connectivity with Apple devices, three new camera filters (Classic Film, Pop Film, and Blanc), and a fix for periodic Bluetooth disconnections. Several visual and UI issues also get addressed, including a notification card cutoff bug, screen flicker during dual recording, stuttering in the gallery app, incorrect AOD clock display, and a brief lock screen flash during incoming calls.
On top of all that, Beta 2 brings the April 2026 security patch, which covers 47 vulnerabilities. That’s a meaningful security bump for S24 users who’ve been waiting to catch up with the S25 series.
It’s good to see Samsung expanding the One UI 8.5 beta to older flagships. The S24 series joining the program means the stable rollout timeline for these devices is getting clearer. We’ll keep you updated as more details come in.
