Samsung has just started rolling out One UI 8.5 Beta 6 for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, but that might not be the last beta build Galaxy S25 owners will see. A new One UI 8.5 build has already been spotted on Samsung’s test servers, raising the possibility that a seventh beta round could be in the pipeline.
According to Tarun Vats, the build has shown up across all beta regions, which is what’s making this more than just routine server activity. Samsung hasn’t said anything officially, but the timing is interesting.
Does the timeline support it?
The Galaxy S26 series, which ships with One UI 8.5 out of the box, is still in the preorder phase with retail availability set for March 11. That two-week window gives Samsung just enough time to push out one more beta build before the new flagships hit shelves.
History also backs the idea. Samsung rarely rolls out stable updates to older devices the moment a new flagship launches. The company typically takes its time, which means Galaxy S25 owners are probably looking at a bit more of a wait regardless. A seventh beta in the meantime wouldn’t be surprising at all.
That said, nothing is confirmed. Samsung could always skip the extra beta and surprise everyone with a direct stable release, though that seems unlikely for now.
