It’s been just a few days since the Indian govt has banned 59 Chinese app. Now, Govt is planning to capture the applications market by promoting Made in India apps. On July 5, India’s Vice President Venkaiah Naidu launched the Elyments app. This app is claimed to be the India’s first official social media super app.
The app says that it gives importance to privacy and therefore all the servers are hosted within India. This is one of the best thing, as it will help to keep the data secure. Coming to the features, this app is a package of features found on different-different applications. You can use this app for instant messaging, video conferencing, social networking and more.
Elyments app has been downloaded over a million times on Google Play Store. The app is available in 8 different languages and the UI is quite good.
After using the app for a short time, i can say that the app has has got good user-interface and tons of feature. Also, it requires much work as you will find difficulty while registering on the app and accessing the content. many times you will get error saying “refresh the page”. We hope these errors get fix in next update of the app.
Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Aatmanirbhar Bharat App Innovate Challenge”. This step is taken by the Govt to boost ‘Made in India’ app. In that tweet, PM also asks tech communities and start-ups to participate in the program.
Few days ago, Jio launched it’s video conference app called JioMeet which is also a Made in India app. This app has also crossed over 1 Million downloads on Google Play Store and started to give a touch competition to popular apps like Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and more.
