WhatsApp now allows up to 8 members in group video calling

Due to lock down in most of the countries, people are finding new and secured way to get in touch with their family or friends. WhatsApp now allows audio and video calling up to 8 people previously it was 4 people. This feature is currently available to beta version of WhatsApp applcation on Android and ios platform. It may take few days to release for all users. Expanding the limits on WhatsApp will give tough competition to Google Duo and Microsoft teams.

How to sign up for beta testing?

Before the release for all users, you can also try this feature . For testing purpose you need to sign up for beta testing. Here are the steps to sign up for WhatsApp bets testing.

  • Open Google Play Store or ios store whichever you have
  • Search WhatsApp and open downloading page
  • Scroll down the page, and you will see Sign up for Beta Version
  • You may also see Beta program is full, it means that for this beta version update, registration is ended.
