Pocket Mode features prevent accidental touches on the OnePlus phones. When this feature is enabled, the phone will automatically detect if the phone is in the pocket and blocks screen shortcuts such as fingerprint scanner and double tap.

Suppose you take out your phone from your pocket and noticed that a phone call is already connected. It is called accidental dialing, which has happened to many people. 1. Why does writer think there is a utilities under settings? Do your homework. A lot of people have updated to Oxygen 12. No longer interested in one plus.

  2. “You can also disable Pocket Mode by following these simple steps: Open the Settings app on your phone.”
OK, failure on the first line. You can’t get to settings when pocket mode is on.

  3. Having trouble disabling pocket mode. If I factory reset won’t that take off all my passwords and pictures and other things I have on there

  4. I hate Android 12 on my OnePlus. The settings that OnePlus has apparently decided to force on us in its Android 12 defaults the phone to pocket mode with no utility setting to turn it off. Every 30 seconds I’m tapping those damn circles to try to get out of pocket mode. Half the time I can’t keep up with the speed of the circles and it takes me two or three times just to access my phone. This is really annoying. I want pocket mode I’ll turn it on!! I don’t need one plus deciding to do this for me!! In the event of having to make an emergency call I can’t believe I’d have to be messing with those damn moving circles. This sucks and OnePlus should remove this default that is extremely annoying and could be dangerous if someone had to make an emergency call.

  5. There’s no reason for pocket mode to turn off the fingerprint sensor. OnePlus should enable a valid touch on the fingerprint sensor as a way to unlock the phone even in pocket mode.
Pocket mode is probably in violation of Americans with Disabilities Act. People with certain disabilities can’t touch particular screen areas that quickly.
The old method of pressing the On/Off button before putting the phone in my pocket always has worked for me, but maybe that could fail sometime for a phone that is put in a purse.
