Breaking: Stable One UI 8 update goes live for Galaxy S23

Samsung isn’t slowing down with its One UI 8 rollout. After updating the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, and even the brand-new Galaxy S25 lineup, the company has now started rolling out the stable One UI 8 update to the Galaxy S23 series. The release has kicked off in South Korea and should expand to more countries very soon.

The stable One UI 8.0 update (based on Android 16) is now available for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra in South Korea. The new firmware carries version S91xNKSU6EYI7 and is live for both regular users and beta testers.

  • For beta testers, the update weighs in at around 450MB.
  • For non-beta users, the full package could be close to 3GB.

If you’re in South Korea and own a Galaxy S23, you can head to Settings > Software update > Download and install to check for it. Once downloaded, simply tap Install now, and your phone will restart to complete the process.

Samsung typically releases major updates in phases, so it may take a few days or weeks before the One UI 8 update reaches S23 users in other regions.

Interestingly, Samsung is once again rolling out a stable Android update earlier than the official roadmap. According to that, the Galaxy S23 series would receive the stable One UI 8 update in the first week of October, but it’s already rolling out in South Korea, and shouldn’t take long to expand to more regions.
