Security and privacy improvements are always in Google’s mind when creating a new version of Android. But this time, there’s a major change in privacy. In Android 12 running phones, you’ll see an icon for microphone, camera, or location whenever any of these are being accessed. In the past, users have reported that many apps are accessing the microphone or camera in the background. With Android 12, this problem gets eliminated as you’ll see an icon at the top of the screen whenever an app accesses the camera, microphone, or location.
