The company already has a good hold in the mid-range smartphone segment, and the Dimensity 9000 Plus is MediaTek’s answer to Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 8-series. MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus: Overview

MediaTek announced the Dimensity 9000+ SoC in June 2022 with a focus to dominate the premium smartphone segment. It’s an octa-core chipset built on TSMC’s 4nm process. The chipset consists of one Cortex-X2 high-performance ultra core clocked at 3.2GHz, three Cortex-A710 super cores clocked at 2.85GHz, and four power-efficient Cortex-A510 cores at 1.8GHz.

The chipset has Mali-G710 MC10 GPU. The processor supports up to a 320MP camera sensor and can process 9 gigapixels per second. You can capture 4K HDR video with AI noise reduction. The chipset supports WDHD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate or FHD resolution with a 180Hz refresh rate. Overall, the Dimensity 9000 Plus is a powerful chipset.

1. Xiaomi 12 Pro

Xiaomi 12 Pro is the first phone to be powered by the Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset. The device also comes with a Qualcomm chipset – the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The Dimensity version features a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and 1500nits peak brightness. On the back, it features triple camera setup – a 50MP primary lens with OIS, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP telephoto macro shooter. For selfies, we have a 32MP snapper. Xiaomi 12 Pro packs a 5,160mAh battery with support for 67W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

2. Asus ROG Phone 6D Ultimate (Upcoming)

Asus ROG Phone 6D has been officially confirmed to pack the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus SoC. The phone is all set to launch on September 19. More details about the device will be revealed at the launch.

3. iQOO 10 BMW Edition (Rumored)

According to recent leaks, iQOO will announce a Dimensity 9000 Plus powered phone in the iQOO 10 series. Rumors are that it could be the iQOO 10 BMW Edition.

iQOO Neo 7 is rumored to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset. There’s no information on when the company will announce the device.
