Samsung January 2026 security patch update

Samsung’s January 2026 security update rollout is now hitting its stride, expanding from its initial release on models like the Galaxy A55 and A34 to a much wider range of devices. The update is now rolling out to several budget-friendly A-series devices as well as rugged models like Galaxy XCover 7 Pro.

The list of devices now receiving the patch is extensive, highlighting Samsung’s commitment to broad software support. The rollout is progressing in key markets across Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Recent recipients include the Galaxy S24 (Exynos) with firmware version S921BXXSCCZA1. They are joined by a wide array of A-series and M-series models:

  • The Galaxy A07 4G (A075FXXS3BZA1) is seeing the update in Southeast Asian nations like Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
  • The Galaxy A14 5G (A146PXXSGEZA1) is receiving it in Malaysia, while the Galaxy A14 (A145PXXSADZA1) is being updated in the Middle East, including Iraq, UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
  • The Galaxy A23 and A23 5G (both with firmware A235MUBSEEZA1) are getting the patch in Brazil.
  • The Galaxy A36 (A366BXXS7BZA1) is being updated in Europe and Turkey, and the Galaxy A73 (A736BXXSAGZA1) in Thailand, Australia, and the Philippines.
  • The Galaxy M14 5G (M146BXXUBDYL1) is receiving the update in Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia, while the Galaxy M15 (M156SKSS6CZA1) is being updated in South Korea. The Galaxy M23 (M236BXXSDEYL1) is also included in the rollout for Europe, Turkey, UAE, and Iraq.
  • For enterprise users, the rugged Galaxy XCover 7 Pro (G766BXXS5BZA1) is also receiving the patch in Europe, Vietnam, and Iraq.

This update delivers the January 2026 security patch, which fixes 55 vulnerabilities identified by Samsung, including one critical and 28 high-risk flaws. As with all security updates, the rollout is phased, so it may take a few more days to reach all devices in these regions. Users can manually check for its availability by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

For most of these eligible devices, this security update lays the groundwork for a more significant upgrade later this year. These models are also on the list to receive the feature-rich One UI 8.5 update, which is expected to begin rolling out after its debut on the Galaxy S26 series.
