Five more Samsung devices get One UI 8 update

Samsung is quickly expanding the One UI 8 update to its more affordable Galaxy devices. Following the rollout to mid-range and premium models, the company is now bringing the new software to a handful of entry-level phones — including a few Galaxy A , F, and M-series models — as well as the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite.

One UI 8 reaches more Galaxy phones and tablets

The Galaxy Tab S10 Lite is now receiving the stable One UI 8 update in South Korea, joining the growing list of Samsung tablets running Android 16. Meanwhile, three budget-friendly phones — the Galaxy A06, Galaxy F06, and Galaxy M06 — have started getting the same update in India, alongside the Galaxy F17.

Here are the firmware versions for each model:

  • Galaxy A06: A066BXXU3BYI8
  • Galaxy F06: E066BXXU3BYI8
  • Galaxy M06: M066BXXU3BYI8
  • Galaxy F17: E176BXXU2BYID

If you’ve got any of these phones and that you live in a supported region, head over to Settings > Software update > Download and install to check for the latest update.

What’s new in Android 16 and One UI 8?

The One UI 8 update brings a refreshed interface, smoother animations, and enhanced multitasking tools across Samsung’s ecosystem. The new Quick Share experience offers a full-screen layout with clearer send and receive tabs, while core apps like Calendar, Clock, Reminders, and Samsung Health have been redesigned with improved usability.

For productivity, Samsung has refined the split-screen and multitasking interface — allowing one app to take up to 90% of the screen while keeping another minimized in the remaining 10%. Security has also been improved with the new Secure Folder, now powered by Android’s Private Space feature and Knox Matrix integration.
