Samsung is kicking off October with a fresh wave of updates, and this time it’s good news for mid-range Galaxy owners. The company has now started pushing the stable One UI 8 update to the Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54.
As usual, South Korea is the first market to get the update. For the Galaxy A54, the rollout arrives with firmware version A546SKSUCEYI5, while the Galaxy A34 is picking it up under version A346NKSUAEYI7. The update size on the A54 varies depending on whether you were part of the beta program, but expect a sizable download either way.

If you own one of these devices, you can grab the update by heading into Settings → Software update → Download and install. The rollout should expand to other regions in the coming days, so even if you don’t see it yet, you likely won’t be waiting long.
Now, One UI 8 isn’t quite as massive a leap as One UI 7 was, but it still brings plenty of refinements to the table. Users can expect improvements to multitasking, privacy controls, and everyday usability, along with Samsung’s subtle UI polish that keeps things feeling fresh.
With the A34 and A54 now joining the party, Samsung is clearly accelerating its One UI 8 push. Most Galaxy devices on the roadmap are expected to get the update in October, with the rest following soon after. If you’re rocking a mid-ranger, this month might finally be your turn.
