Samsung’s One UI 8 rollout is picking up serious momentum. Earlier today, the company pushed the stable Android 16-based One UI 8 update to its premium devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy S24 series, and the Galaxy S24 FE. Now, in a pleasant surprise, the stable update has also reached the mid-range Galaxy A56.
Galaxy A56 joins the One UI 8 party
Samsung had only recently opened the One UI 8 Beta Program for the Galaxy A56 at the start of this month, and after just two beta builds, the phone is already jumping to the stable release. The update is currently rolling out in South Korea with firmware version A566SKSU2BYI5, and a wider release should follow soon.

What’s new with One UI 8 on Galaxy A56
While the Galaxy A56 doesn’t get the full flagship-level feature set, Samsung has included many meaningful upgrades to enhance the experience. There’s automatic call translation that makes conversations smoother when speaking different languages. The AI-powered photo generation gives users creative tools for editing and creating images.
The changelog, as shared by @Alfaturk16, further reveals that the Galaxy A56 is also getting the much-requested Now Brief feature, which is only available to select high-end Galaxy devices. This feature feed delivers time-based suggestions like weather updates, events, reminders, playlists, and even news articles that adapt throughout the day.
As with other devices, the stable update is first going out to beta testers, but non-beta Galaxy A56 users should also get it shortly. The update package is expected to be around a few gigabytes for those moving directly from One UI 7.
To check if the update is available on your Galaxy A56, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once downloaded, tap Install now, and your phone will reboot with the fresh stable build of One UI 8.
