Galaxy Fit 3 receives first update in months: Here’s what’s new

Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy Fit 3, marking the first update for the fitness tracker in several months. The rollout begins in South Korea, bringing the January 2026 security patch alongside stability improvements to ensure the device remains secure and performs smoothly.

The update, identified by firmware version R390XXU0AZA3, is a relatively small 17.42 MB download. Its primary focus is on integrating the latest security patches to protect the device from newly identified vulnerabilities. Additionally, the update includes general stability and reliability enhancements, which should result in fewer glitches and a smoother user experience.

Galaxy Fit 3 owners can install the update through the connected Galaxy Wearable app on their smartphone. The path to check for the update is Band settings > Band software update > Download and install. As always, it’s recommended to ensure the tracker has sufficient battery charge before starting the installation process to avoid any interruptions.

This update is part of a broader security rollout for Samsung’s wearables, which has also included the Galaxy Watch 4, Watch 5, and Watch 6 series. As Samsung continues to support its ecosystem of devices, Galaxy Fit 3 users can expect to receive regular updates.
