Galaxy S23 FE joins One UI 8 update party

Samsung’s update streak continues. After delivering the stable One UI 8.0 update to the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra earlier today, the company has already moved on to the Galaxy S23 FE. It’s good to see the FE model getting the update alongside the regular models, and that too, arriving ahead of the roadmap.

Galaxy S23 FE gets stable One UI 8 update in Korea

The latest update for the Galaxy S23 FE is rolling out in South Korea with firmware version DYI5. According to Samsung’s official schedule, this device was supposed to be updated in October, but the rollout has arrived a couple of days early. That makes the S23 FE one of the first mid-range Galaxy phones to receive Android 16 with One UI 8.0.

If you’re using the Galaxy S23 FE in Korea, you can already grab the update by heading to your phone’s Settings > Software update > Download and install menu. Once the package is downloaded, a quick restart will complete the installation and bring all the new One UI 8 features to your device.

While the update is currently limited to Korea, Samsung usually doesn’t keep global users waiting for long. The One UI 8 update should expand to more Galaxy S23 FE users in the first week of October.

The Galaxy S23 FE joins a growing list of devices that have received the One UI 8 stable update earlier than planned. The company is clearly on track to deliver one of the fastest rollouts in its history.
