Samsung has started rolling out the January 2026 security patch to its latest Fan Edition tablets, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+. The update is currently available in South Korea, bringing the latest security enhancements to both the Wi-Fi and cellular variants of these popular tablets.

The rollout covers models with the specific model numbers SM-X520 and SM-X620 for the Wi-Fi variants of the Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+ respectively, and SM-X526N and SM-X626N for their cellular counterparts. The new firmware versions are as follows:

  • Galaxy Tab S10 FE (Wi-Fi): X520XXS6BZA3
  • Galaxy Tab S10 FE (5G): X526NKOS6BZA4
  • Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ (Wi-Fi): X620XXS6BZA3
  • Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ (5G): X626NKOS6BZA3

This update focuses exclusively on security, integrating the January 2026 patch that addresses 55 vulnerabilities. These fixes include patches from Google and Samsung Mobile, targeting a mix of critical, high, and moderate-risk issues to strengthen the tablets’ defenses against potential threats.

Owners of these devices in South Korea can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install. As with all Samsung updates, this is a phased rollout, and we expect it to expand to other regions globally within the next few days.

Looking beyond this routine security maintenance, both the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+ are eligible for the upcoming One UI 8.5 update. Based on Android 16, One UI 8.5 will bring a cleaner, more modern interface and a host of new features later this year.
