Gionee M12 launches as the company’s latest affordable smartphone in Nigeria. The handset comes in two different chipsets while other specifications remains the same. Both the chipsets are from MediaTek, where one gets the Helio P22 and the other gets Helio A25.

Gionee M12: price, availability
The all-new Gionee M12 with Helio P22 chipset stats from NGN 75,000 (roughly Rs 14,500) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. There’s also a higher variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, sells for NGN 85,000 (roughly Rs 16,400).
The Helio A25 version has an MSRP of NGN 69,400 (~Rs 13,400) for the 4GB/64GB variant and goes to NGN 78,900 (~Rs 15,200) for 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. Both the variant are available for purchase at Jumia and offline stores.

Gionee M12: specifications
The Gionee M12 has a 6.55-inch large display 720×1,600 pixel resolution and a punch-hole cut out for a 13-megapixel selfie camera. The phone boots Android 10 out of the box. You get a MicroSD card slot to expand the storage.
Around the back, we have a quad camera setup which includes a 48MP primary shooter, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and two 2MP sensors likely for depth and macro shoot. The device packs a 5,100mAh battery and a normal 10W USB Type-C charger. Other notable features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual sim support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, and FM Radio.
