Samsung has just published the official One UI 8 update timeline for India, and it’s shaping up to be one of the company’s fastest software rollouts yet. According to the schedule, most Galaxy devices will be upgraded to Android 16 with One UI 8 in October, while the remaining few will get the update in November.
The stable One UI 8 update has already gone live for the Galaxy S25 series, including the Galaxy S25 Edge. Starting next month, the update will gradually expand to dozens of other smartphones and tablets across the Galaxy lineup.

It’s worth pointing out that Samsung’s timeline isn’t arranged in the order devices will actually receive the update. For example, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 are oddly placed below the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4. Similarly, the non-5G variants of the Galaxy Tab S10 and Tab S9 are listed much later than their 5G siblings, even though they usually get updated around the same time.
So while the official list gives us the update windows, don’t be surprised if the rollout sequence looks different in practice.
One small disappointment comes for Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 owners in India. These devices won’t be part of this month’s rollout despite being Samsung’s latest flagships. However, they’ve already received the stable One UI 8 update in South Korea.
If Samsung sticks to this plan, it will mark one of the quickest major software rollouts in the company’s history. By November, nearly all eligible Galaxy devices in India should be running Android 16 with One UI 8.
