Here's when Samsung will start rolling out stable One UI 8 update

Samsung kicked off the One UI 8 Beta Program back in May with the Galaxy S25 series, and the beta rollout has gradually expanded to more Galaxy phones and foldables. The company has also confirmed a timeline for the stable release of One UI 8 — and it’s coming sooner than you might think.

Stable One UI 8 is coming soon — starting with Galaxy S25

Samsung hasn’t revealed the exact release date yet, but it has promised that the stable One UI 8 update will go live in September, at least for the Galaxy S25 series. Other Galaxy S, Z, and A devices will follow gradually, with the goal of completing the rollout by the end of 2025.

Samsung’s adoption of Google’s trunk-based development model has allowed it to speed up major One UI rollouts. Going forward, Samsung is expected to release major One UI versions mid-year with its new foldables, while pushing feature-rich minor updates early in the year alongside the Galaxy S lineup.

What’s new in One UI 8?

One UI 8 doesn’t drastically change the design, but it adds useful enhancements across several core apps and features:

Quick Share has been simplified with a cleaner layout and more intuitive options for sharing files between Galaxy and other devices.
Alarms, Calendar, and Reminders have been improved with better scheduling and customization controls.
