Here’s when the Galaxy S25 may get the second One UI 8.5 beta update

Samsung launched the first One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S25 series earlier this week, and while initial feedback suggests no critical bugs, the company is already preparing the next update. A reliable tipster has now shared a potential release date for the second beta version.

According to tipster @ya_sking12767 on X, Samsung is planning to release the One UI 8.5 Beta 2 update for the Galaxy S25 series on December 22, 2025. The same source accurately predicted the December 8 launch of the first beta, lending credibility to this new claim.

Beta 2 is expected to focus on bug fixes, performance improvements, and system stability based on user feedback from the initial release. While new features are less common in subsequent beta builds, Samsung occasionally introduces minor enhancements as the software matures.

The One UI 8.5 beta program is currently available for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra in Germany, the United States, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. Users enrolled in the program will receive the second beta update automatically via Settings > Software update > Download and install once it becomes available.
