The Alarm & Clock app in Windows is now more useful and better looking. The company has added Focus sessions feature, besides the UI changes. In this article, we’ll see how to get Windows 11 Alarm & Clock app with Focus Sessions feature in your Windows 10 computer.

Microsoft brought an updated version of the Alarms & Clock app with the Windows 11 build that was released in the second week of August. Many Windows 11 users are loving the new design and the Focus Sessions feature in the updated Alarms & Clock app.

What is Focus Session in Windows 11?

Before I tell you how to download and install the Windows 11 Alarms & Clock app on your Windows 10 PC, let’s talk about the Focus Sessions feature.

The previous version of Windows Clock app didn’t have much to do. They had some basic functionalities that you get on most clock apps, such as alarms, timers, stopwatch, etc. This time Microsoft has put good efforts into making the Clock app even more productive.

You can set the focus time in the multiple of 15. The best part is the app automatically adds breaks. However, you can avoid it by selecting the Skip breaks option.

There’s a lot more you can do with the new Clock app. You can sync Focus Sessions with the Microsoft’s To Do app. It can further increase your productivity. Also, there’s a Spotify section to enhance your focus sessions by listening to music and podcasts.

Unfortunately, the latest Alarms & Clock app with the Focus Sessions feature is only available for Windows 11 users. Don’t worry, there’s an alternative way to get the new Clock app on your Windows 10 PC. Here are the required steps:

[Note: This method works on Windows 10 21H2 or later. Hence, check your the Windows 10 version on your PC before going ahead.]

Step 1: Enable Developer Mode on your computer. You can find this option by going to Settings -> Update & Security → For developers.

Step 2: Download the Windows 11 Alarms & Clock app. (download link)

Step 3: Extract the ZIP package into a folder (for me, it’s “C:\Program Files\UWP Apps”).

Step 4: Open Windows PowerShell with administrative privileges. If you don’t know how to do so, just type Windows PowerShell in the search box, right-click on the first search result, and select Run as administrator.

Step 5: Run the following command:

Add-AppxPackage -Register "C:\Program Files\UWP Apps\Microsoft.WindowsAlarms_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AppxManifest.xml"

[Note: Like me, If you extracted the ZIP file into the “UWP Apps” folder, the above command should work fine. If you extracted the file to another location, change the folder path.]

Step 6: Close Windows PowerShell and launch the Clock app.

This method was given by an XDA member ducanh201006.
