Celebrating the eight-year anniversary, Huawei held a special online event where we got some details about the EMUI 11. During the interview, Dr. Wang Chenglu, President of Huawei Consumer Business Software confirmed that EMUI 11 will arrive in Q3, 2020. However, the actual date was not revealed.
Rumors suggest that the Huawei Mate 40 series will be the first one to feature brand new EMUI 11. It was 2012, when Emotion UI 1.0 released which was based on Android 4.0. In the past 8 years, EMUI improved a lot in terms of UI and news features. Each new EMUI version brings some additional feature.
