Infinix has launched a new budget-friendly smartphone for the Indian market, Infinix Smart 5. The smartphone comes offers a large display, a huge 6,000mAh battery, and 13MP dual rear cameras. This is actually a rebranded Infinix Hot 10 Play, which was launched earlier this year in Pakistan and Philippines.

The Infinix Smart 5 comes with 2GB RAM + 32GB storage priced at Rs 8,999. However, initial sales offer a 20% discount, thus the final value becomes Rs 7,199. The phone will be available for purchase via Flipkart from February 18.
Infinix Smart 5: specifications
The phone is built around a 6.82-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and 440nits peak brightness. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G25 chipset coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. A dedicated microSD card slot allows storage expansion up to 256GB.
The Infinix Smart 5 runs Android 10 (Go edition) with XOS 7 UI at the top. Around the back, it has a dual-camera setup that includes a 13MP primary shooter and a secondary low light sensor. The camera module has an additional cutout for the AI logo. For selfies and video calling, the phone has an 8MP camera housed inside the waterdrop notch.
A 6,000mAh capacity battery is the main highlight of the phone. It charges over a MicroUSB port. Other notable specs include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
