[Update: May 13, 2022] Xiaomi has released a new software update for the Poco M2 Pro. It brings the April 2022 security patch that fixes numerous vulnerabilities to improve system security and privacy. The update is currently rolling out in India with the firmware version V12.5.6.0.RJPINXM.

[Update: Feb 3, 2022] Poco M2 Pro users in India are now receiving the January 2022 security patch with the latest software update. It comes with the software version V12.5.3.0.RJPINXM. The update improves system security and privacy by adding the January patch.

Will Poco M2 Pro Get Android 12 Update?

Xiaomi has not yet released of devices that are eligible for Android 12 updgrade. However, a report from Xiaomiui suggests that Poco M2 will receive MIUI 13 and Android 12. So, if Poco M2 is in the radar of receiving Android 12 update from Xiaomi, then the Poco M2 Pro also has higher changes of getting upgraded to Android 12. We’ll update here once the company officiallly announces something.

    1. You can do the following to increase device performance:

        1. Remove unnecessary apps
        2. clear cache
        3. keep at least 5GB free internal storage
        4. Do not install heavy softwares
