Moto Edge 20 Fusion Gets July 2022 Security Update
Motorola has pushed a new software update for the Moto Edge 20 Fusion users. The new OTA update mainly brings the July 2022 security patch to further improve the system security and privacy by fixing numerous vulnerabilities. Notably, the device didn’t receive the June security patch. However, the company has started distributing the latest July security patch.
The latest software update for the Motorola Moto Edge 20 Fusion has the firmware version RRKS31.03-19-97-12. It has a download size of around 50MB. It’s a minor security patch update that does not bring new features, performance improvements, or UI changes. Unfortunately, the latest OTA update is based on Android 11.
Motorola released the Edge 20 Fusion last year with Android 11 out of the box. One of the great thing about Motorola is that they offer nearly stock Android experience. It means that the Motorola phones do not ship with bloatware, which many smartphone manufacturers do.
The software experience with Motorola phones has been good, but not the software support. Moto Edge 20 Fusion users are still waiting for the Android 12 update. According to some recent reports last week, the Android 12 update has started rolling out for the Edge 20 Fusion users. It is likely to be rolling out in batches. Hence, it may take a couple of days or weeks for Android 12 update to reach your phone.
If you are a Moto Edge 20 Fusion user and have not received the latest update, go to Settings -> About phone -> System updates to check if the update is already available on your phone.
