
Google surprised everyone by releasing Android 16 in early June, months ahead of its usual October timeline. This earlier release means brands like Motorola can start working on updates sooner, and the company is already moving quickly.
Motorola has kicked off its Android 16 beta testing program, giving users early access to the latest features and enhancements before the stable rollout. The beta program launched in June and currently supports several Motorola phones, including foldables, premium Edge models, and some budget devices.
Motorola phones eligible for Android 16 beta testing
Here’s the list of Motorola devices currently part of the Android 16 beta testing program:

Keep in mind that Motorola hasn’t rolled out the Android 16 beta to all of these models yet. However, owners of these devices can sign up for the program and become eligible for early access once their turn comes.
As of now, the Android 16 beta is officially available for the Edge 50 Fusion, Edge 50 Pro, and Edge 60 Pro. Availability is currently limited to select regions, but Motorola plans to expand the rollout in phases over the next few weeks.
How to join Motorola’s Android 16 beta program
Motorola manages its beta testing through the Motorola Feedback Network (MFN). You need to register and enroll in MFN to get access to Android 16 beta builds. Here’s how to sign up:
- Create an account on Motorola’s community website if you don’t already have one.
- Update your profile with your phone’s IMEI or serial number (SN).
- Opt in for MFN participation on your Motorola profile.
- Make sure your phone is running the latest software update.
- Go to the MFN Beta Testing Opportunities page to check the beta opportunity for your Motorola phone.
- Tap the registration link for your Motorola device.
- Fill out the form and submit your application.
Once approved, you’ll receive an email from Motorola when your device becomes eligible for the beta update. Be sure to check your spam or junk folder regularly so you don’t miss it.
