Motorola has started rolling out the much-awaited Android 15 update for the Edge (2022), following last month’s release for the Edge 2024. The update is now reaching users in phases, so it may take some time before it becomes available to everyone.
Android 15 update now rolling out for Motorola Edge (2022)
The Edge (2022) is getting the new software with build number V1ST35H.71-19. The device launched with Android 13, received Android 14 last year, and this is now its second major OS upgrade. However, this is likely the phone’s final Android version as part of Motorola’s software update policy. The update package is around 2.2GB, so make sure you have enough storage and a stable Wi-Fi connection before downloading.

Android 15 brings a handful of useful changes and enhancements to the Edge (2022). Users will get access to new lock screen customization options, an updated quick panel, Gen AI-powered emojis, fresh emoji stickers, and improved connectivity features. The update also includes overall system optimizations for better performance.
Since the rollout is happening in phases, not everyone will get the update at once. To check if it’s available on your device, head to Settings > System updates > Check for system updates.
Before installing the update, make sure to back up your important data and ensure your phone has at least 50% battery. Given the size of the package, downloading it over Wi-Fi is highly recommended.
