Motorola’s Android 17 beta program to Edge 70, Edge 60, and more

Motorola Android 17 beta program

Motorola’s Android 17 beta program is picking up pace fast. Just a day after launching the program for the Motorola Edge 2025, Moto G57, and Moto G57 Power, the company has opened it up to several more devices across multiple regions.

The newly added phones are the Moto G86, Moto G86 Power, Motorola Edge 60, Edge 60 Fusion, Edge 70, and Edge 70 Fusion. Here’s a full breakdown of which devices are supported and where:

If your device is on that list and you’re in a supported region, you can sign up now through Motorola’s community website. That said, this is a beta program, so expect occasional bugs or features that don’t work as intended.

How to sign up for Motorola’s Android 17 beta

The sign-up process runs through Motorola’s community platform. Here’s how to get started:

  1. Create an account on Motorola’s community website.
  2. Head to your profile page and add your IMEI or serial number.
  3. Opt in for MFN on your community profile.
  4. Make sure your phone is on the latest available software before proceeding.
  5. Visit the MFN Beta Testing Opportunities page and look for a testing opportunity tied to your device.
  6. Tap the registration link for your phone and fill in the required details.

After submitting, keep an eye on your inbox since Motorola may reach out via email, and it’s worth checking your spam folder too. Once your application is approved, an OTA update will be pushed to your device. You can also check manually through Settings > System updates > Check for updates.

It’s worth noting that while signups are now open, the actual update rollout for these newly added devices hasn’t started yet. When it does, users can look forward to Material 3 Expressive visual changes, Live Notification improvements, and a redesigned desktop mode, along with the other upgrades coming with Android 17.
