MacBook Pro 13 is here: M1 chip, up to 20hr battery life, and powerful performance

The 13-inch MacBook Pro has been upgraded with Apple’s new M1 chipset replacing the Intel processor. The M1-powered MacBook Pro has 2.8 times faster CPU, 5 times faster GPU, and 11 times faster machine learning as compared to its predecessor.
Apple claims that the new MacBook Pro 13 can build code in Xcode 2.8x faster than the intel-powered MacBook Pro 13. Moreover, it can render a complex 3D title in Final Cut Pro 5.9x faster and can play full-quality 8K Pro resolution video without any frame drop.

Unlike the M1-powered MacBook Air, the new MacBook Pro 13 has got a cooling fan which can dissipate heat quickly. The battery life on this Mac is the best of any apple laptop to date. According to the company, it can deliver up to 17-hour of web browsing and up to 20-hour video playback. For comparison, it has 2hr more web surfing and 2hr more for video playback than in M1 powered MacBook Air.

The MacBook Pro 13 has a 13.3-inch Retina display and a brighter 500nits display, previously 400nits. Other notable features include – two thunderbolts port, an HD camera, an audio jack, batter stereo speakers, Touch ID, Wi-Fi 6, and high-quality microphones.
The MacBook Pro 13 starts at $1,299 (Rs 1,22,900) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The higher variant with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage will cost $1,499 (Rs 1,42,900). It is already available for pre-order while the sales will start next week.
