Galaxy S20 Series, Galaxy A50s get February 2022 Security Patch Update

Again, Samsung was the first to roll out the latest security patch. The February 2022 security patch started rolling out last week, starting with the Galaxy Note 20 series. The South Korean firm has now released the February 2022 security update for the Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy A50s.

The February security update for the Samsung Galaxy A50s comes with the firmware version A507FNXXU6DVA2. For now, it is rolling out in Vietnam and should cover more regions in the coming days. Samsung has not yet detailed the February 2022 security patch. So, the list of vulnerabilities getting fixed here is currently unknown. 

The February security update for the LTE variant of Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra comes with the firmware version G98xFXXUDEVA9, while the 5G versions are receiving it as G98xBXXUDEVA9. The update is rolling out in several regions, including the Netherlands, Belgium, and the UK. It will expand to more regions in the coming days.

The latest update for the Galaxy S20 series also improves the overall stability of the functions. It should fix those areas which didn’t work well after the Android 12 upgrade. The update has a download size of about 840MB.

Samsung has already upgraded the Galaxy S20 series to Android 12. However, Galaxy A50s users are still waiting for their turn to get the Android 12 update.
