Galaxy Z Fold 2 sales stopped in the US ahead of rumored Galaxy Z Fold 3 launch

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2

Samsung has stopped selling Galaxy Z Fold 2 in the United States through online mediums. The smartphone was launched last year and became one of the most popular foldable phones in a very short amount of time. The removal of Galaxy Z Fold 2 from online stores hints at the arrival of Galaxy Z Fold 3 which is rumored to launch in August 2021.

The product page of Galaxy Z Fold 2 is no longer accessible on the online stores in the US. Instead, it gives an error message, “The Galaxy Fold is no longer available for purchase on Samsung.com”. Notably, the error message points to Galaxy Fold instead of Galaxy Z Fold 2. A report from Android Police mentions that the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is already out of stock on the major US carriers such as Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint. However, the foldable phone is still available for purchase at AT&T and Best Buy

Recent reports have revealed that Samsung has started mass production of Galaxy Z Fold 3. It will be the first foldable phone to use under the display camera technology. The phone might bring some major upgrades over the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Samsung is yet to confirm the arrival of Galaxy Z Fold 3. But, a recent leak reveals that the unpacked event may be held in the first week of August 2021 and sales might kick off starting August 27. The company may also unveil the next generation Galaxy Flip called Galaxy Z Flip 3.
