Honor was rumoured to be working on Honor 70, which has now been officially confirmed. Earlier today, the brand posted a short video on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo showing the retail box of Honor 70. The video does not reveal any specifications or the design of the upcoming Honor phone. But, thanks to past leaks, we already know quite a few details about the Honor 70 series.
According to reports, there could be three devices under the new Honor lineup: Honor 70, Honor 70, and Honor 70 Pro+. The devices, according to the tipster Digital Chat Station, will feature Sony IMX800 primary sensor. So, the Honor 70 series will mark the debut of this new Sony sensor. Although the company has not announced a launch date yet, tipster WHYLAB suggests that it could launch on May 30.
The vanilla Honor 70 is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, while the other two models may get Dimensity chipsets. Rumours are that the Dimensity 8100 SoC will fuel the Honor 70 Pro and Dimensity 9000 could power the Pro+ model. The vanilla model is said to carry a 10-bit AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and the Pro model will switch to an LTPO AMOLED display with the same refresh rate.
The Honor 70 is expected to feature a triple camera on the back which might consist of a 108MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP sensor. The Honor 70 Pro could have a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and an 8MP sensor with OIS. The vanilla Honor 70 and Honor 70 Pro are said to house a 4,800mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. While the Honor 70 Pro+ may have a 4,600mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging.
