Honor has officially announced the launch date of Honor Play 5 series that is May 18. The launch event will begin at 7:30 PM local time. The launch poster reveals the design of the Honor Play 5.
The smartphone has a flat display with a waterdrop-style notch to house the selfie camera. It has a high screen-to-body ratio which is good for content consumption. Around the back, the Honor Play 5 has a square camera module with four camera sensors and an LED flash. The launch poster reveals that the device will be available in two shiny colour options.

Ahead of the launch, a Chinese tipster goes by the name Digital Chat Station has revealed the complete specifications of Honor Play 5. He claims that the device is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset. It has a 6.53″ FullHD+ OLED display. So, we are likely to see an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The rear camera setup includes a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP sensor (most likely ultrawide), and two 2MP sensors likely for depth and macro shoot. It will come with a 3,800mAh battery and supports 66W fast charging. The smartphone will be 7.46mm thick and 179g heavy.
