Huawei introduced the EMUI 11 with the flagship Mate 40 series. Now, the company has started rolling out the EMUI 11 update to Huawei Mate 30 Pro. The update adds lots of new features to the device and improves privacy too.
It’s worth mentioning that the EMUI 11 update is based on Android 10, not on the latest Android 11. Due to the US restrictions, Huawei does not have permission to access the Android 11 source code until it goes public. But, the company earlier said that it will incorporate some of the Android 11 features into its future version of EMUI 11.
Coming back to the EMUI 11 update, it brings Smart Always-On Display which much more customizable than in EMUI 10. Notably, the AOD display appears when you are looking at the phone. Another important thing is multi-window support, which allows users to open apps in the floating window.
It brings a cleaner UI, much smoother animations, and lots of subtle effects that enhance the user experience. The update adds the ability to edit notes on multiple Huawei devices simultaneously. The latest EMUI 11 update for Mate 30 Pro comes with build version EMUI 18.104.22.168 and weighs 3.18GB in size. The OTA update will arrive in a staged manner, which means it may take some time to reach your device.
