Infinix India has posed a short teaser on its official Twitter account confirming the existence of a phone with 160W fast charging. The same was recently leaked by XDA Developers which also revealed the image of the smartphone that will support this 160W fast charging.
The short teaser does not completely reveal the phone’s design but confirms a few things. The first one is a USB Type-C port at the bottom. It has a speaker grille to the left of the charging port and a small hole filled with green light is most likely a 3.5mm headphone jack. It appears to have a curved-edged display.
A leaked render shared by XDA reveals that the phone has a rectangular camera module on the back housing three sensors and an LED flash. It has a top-left punch-hole cutout on the front for the selfie camera. The panel is curved on the edges. The right side of the phone has a power button and volume rockers. At the bottom, it has a microphone, a sim-tray, a USB Type-C port, and a speaker grille.
Notably, there is a small circular cutout on the bottom, as seen in the official teaser. But, the leaked render does not show such cutout. So, this could be a different device or the teaser might be telling something else.
The speed of charging has seen a huge bump in recent years. Xiaomi first unveiled the 120W fast charging with Mi 10 Ultra, and then we saw 125W from Oppo and Realme. Recently, Xiaomi showcased the world’s first 200W wired and 120W wireless charging, settings a new record. Currently, there is no phone in the market with 160W fast charging support, so Infinix could be the first.
