IQOO 8 teased at ChinaJoy event ahead of the August 4 launch

IQOO 8 series is expected to go official on August 4 in China. The series is rumored to consists of two phones – IQOO 8 and 8 Pro. These could be the World’s first phones to launch with Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset. Ahead of the launch, the IQOO 8 was tased today at the ChinaJoy event which reveals the design.

The first thing we see is the centered punch-hole cutout on the front and the panel is curved at the edges. The right side of the phone houses power buttons and volume rockers. And, at the bottom, we can see USB Type-C port, microphone hole, and speaker grille. The design pretty much resembles the IQOO 7 (Indian variant).

The large size case has been intentionally put to cover some parts of the IQOO 8 including the rear camrea module. We can see that the camera module in rectangular in shape and housed at the top-left side of the phone.

The IQOO 8 series is said to feature Samsung E5 AMOLED display with 2K resolution and 10-bit colour support. The LTPO panel may feature 120Hz refresh rate. A recent leak revealed that the IQOO 8 has a 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, which also supports 4GB virtual RAM. The smartphone runs Android-11 based OriginOS 1.0 for IQOO.
