Chinese smartphone maker and Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO has already started working on its iQOO 9 series, as per recent reports. The brand is expected to bring two devices under the iQOO’s next flagship series – iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro. While we wait for an official confirmation, the vanilla iQOO 9 with model number V2171A has now appeared on China’s 3C certification website, revealing several key details.
Although the marketing name of V2171A is not confirmed yet. However, reports believe that the model number is linked with the upcoming iQOO 9. The 3C listing for the device suggests that it supports 120W fast charging. It also confirms the presence of 5G connectivity, which is quite obvious.
The iQOO 9 series has been subjected to various leaks/rumours in the past. Based on that, we can expect the device to feature Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, a successor to the Snapdragon 888+ SoC. The new flagship chip is said to have greatly improved GPU performance. We are likely to see a 120Hz AMOLED panel on the vanilla model. The next iQOO flagship series is most likely to feature an independent display chip, which the company has been doing for a while with its recent flagships. Other features that the devices could bring include a dual X-axis linear motor, shoulder buttons, stereo speakers, and an under-display fingerprint sensor.
