Back in December, Motorola launched Edge X30 as the world’s first phone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Now, it seems that the Lenovo-backed company will again become the first to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus-powered phone under the Motorola brand. Ahead of any official announcements, a Chinese tipster WHYLAB has revealed the key specification of the upcoming Motorola flagship phone.
This Motorola phone is rumoured to be called Motorola Frontier. According to the tipster, the phone will sport a 6.67-inch OLED screen with FullHD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset – an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The Motorola phone is tipped to feature triple cameras on the back, which includes a 194MP Samsung S5KHP1 sensor with OIS as a primary camera, paired with a 50MP Samsung S5KJN1 ultrawide lens, and a 12MP Sony IMX663 telephoto camera. There could be a 60MP OmniVision OV60A sensor for selfies and video calls.
The upcoming Motorola phone could come with 125W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging support. Earlier today, Chen Jin, general manager of Lenovo’s mobile business group in China also teased the 125W adapter that weighs just 130 grams. The image (shown below) also reveals that it will come with a Motorola branded phone.
Motorola Frontier key specifications and design have surfaced multiple times in the past. However, the launch date is still a mystery. But, since the company’s officials have now started teasing its arrival, we are likely not too far away from the launch event.
